Not sure how often this area is even viewed any more but figured it was worth a shot.

I'm in a $200/team, 12 man keeper league - which I won last year! In this league, we're able to keep up to 2 players. If you keep the player, you forfeit the draft pick in which you selected the player last year. I'll be drafting 12th. It's a PPR league for what that's worth as well. Starts 2 RB, 2 WR and a flex spot.

Here are my keeper options:

Jamaal Charles - 1st round
Calvin Johnson - 1st round
DeMarco Murray - 3rd round
Eric Decker - 6th round
Seattle D/ST - 9th round
Knowshown Moreno - 10th round
Cordarelle Patterson - 10th round

I can only keep Charles OR Johnson, not both. I traded for Johnson during the year but league rules state that you can't keep more than 1 first round pick.

I've more or less decided on keeping Charles and sacrificing pick #12 (I'll still have pick #13). I briefly considered Johnson, but that doesn't seem like the right move. Thoughts on that?

My bigger concern is my second keeper. I've narrowed it down to Murray or Patterson. Patterson would have better value as a 10th round keeper, but at the same time, with RB so, so thin this year that keeping Murray gives me 2 of the few bell cow RB's - and gives me 2 players in the top 20 going into the draft, though giving up two early picks is a bit scary. My thought being I could keep Charles and Murray and then be free to take whatever I want with my first pick - a third RB if one happens to fall, or a WR or whatever. Where if I keep Patterson and no RB falls, I could be stuck with a rather undesirable RB situation. I've tried to guess what others would keep and if my guesses are close, Murray would be the 5th best player back in the draft.

Thoughts? What would everyone do?

in that case, I would probably go with Charles for reasons you stated, and then take Patterson as he should be the #2 guys at worst for the Vikings (I think by mid-season he'll be #1 for them.)

I'd go with Charles and Murray.

I'm not a believer in Patterson, and you could have an awesome backfield with both of those.

I've got a conundrum as well. Our league just instituted a 2-keeper rule for the first time. It is an auction league with a $100 salary cap. PPR league as well. Plus TDs and yards. I can only keep two. Advice in the next 30 hours would be appreciated as this must be decided by 4:00 pm MST.

Andrew Luck, IND $19.00
Eddie Lacy, GB $10.75
Demarius Thomas, DEN $18.00

I've narrowed it down to those three. I thought I was going Luck-Lacy, but now I'm not so sure.

However, I could go super cheap with any of these if you think that I should:

Nick Foles, PHI $2.00
Keenan Allen, SD $2.00
Riley Cooper, PHI $2.00
Cordarelle Patterson, MINN $2.00

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Im thinking getting Lacy at 10.75 is a steal. I havent done many auction drafts and never was in a keeper league, but i would imagine the strategy being get the most value out of your keepers. If luck is going to go around 19 or thomas 18, then theres no real advantage to keeping them. I think Lacy is going to be a top RB in this years fantasy. What did the top RBs go for in last years draft? If it were me I would keep Lacy and Allen. I don't like Vikings, and I don't think patterson is ready for his role yet, and Im not sold of Foles, so that takes out him and Cooper.

NFL Blitz has better referees.

I went Lacy and Allen. I figure I should be able to then bid and, possibly get either or both of Luck and Thomas. Or somebody that is fairly equivalent.
