I figure most people will come here to complain about their tight losses, so I added "vent" to the thread title.

But not me.  As long as Ryan Mathews scores less than 20 points tomorrow night, I'll go 4-and-0 for the week.  I'm also 13-and-1 in my Pick 'Em league, missing out only on Sunday night's Redskins over Cowboys game, which was as close as could be.

I figure on a 50/50 game like that I couldn't have taken much credit for getting it right, so I'm not going to beat myself up over getting it wrong.  I did break my cardinal rule of Pick 'Em on that game though, which is to respect the intra-division home game, barring a glaring mismatch.  So that was dumb of me.

I drafted Arian Foster in the mid to late rounds in all three of my drafts.  I wanted to "hedge" myself and only started him in 2 of the leagues, which means I'll likely be 2-1 rather than 3-0 after tonight.  In my defense, I can only start 2 RBs in that league and have MJD, S. Jackson, Bradshaw, and Foster as options so I went with the two proven commodities in week one.  I really, really wish we had a flex position in that league rather than 3 WR's.

Yeah, I have Foster in 2-of-4 leagues, but only started him in one. Good news is I'll win anyway.

I'm sure I'll have some vents later, but I'm having a hard time finding them right now. Assuming Malcom Floyd doesn't get -5 points tonight, I'll be 1-0. My previously weak WR corps looks to be semi-stacked now.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

Well, what looked like a 2-1 week is rapidly turning into an 0-3 week.  I'm going to score in the top 3 for each league, and lose every game (unless I get about 10 points from Ryan Mathews).  Super awesome.

In this one league I'm in, they don't count KR or PR for touchdowns as part of the defense/special teams (but DO count blocked punts and FG for touchdowns).  Image

Seriously, Sam, you'd probably lose if not for the sloppy rain in KC tonight.  Oh, and the fact that SD is just playing completely terrible tonight.  I still love Ryan Mathews as a player, though.

I don't know about "probably." It's Ryan Mathews first game...not exactly a lock for the 20+ points you needed.

Unbelievable.  In terms of points, I scored the 2nd, 2nd, and 4th most points in my leagues and ended up 0-3.  Lost one game 153-150, and another 107.70-107.08.

Over the years, that's been my luck, too.  I always seem to bring out the best in my opponent.

Went 1-2 this week, but won the game in the only league that truly matters to me.

Finished 12-4 in pick 'em, too.

Yeah, I thought I was being smart starting Darren McFadden and Stephen Jackson, while leaving Jahvid Best on the bench because of the tough matchup vs. Philly.....69 points in my league left on the bench. I still won by 40, but come on!!!!! Best ain't leaving my lineup except when he's on his bye week.

This is my preemptive vent at Sean Payton for not giving it to Pierre Thomas enough. 18 points, that's all I'm asking. I bet he gets 7 carries.

2-1 this week. Jahvid Best killed me in my main league. Well, that and Michael Turner going down while I had Jason Snelling on the bench.

Yeah, the Turner one really ticked me off. By the time I got to a TV, he had 9 carries for 75 yards, and every time the stat thing came up after that, it hadn't changed. Then I find out he was cleared to go back in, but by that time it was a blowout.

I can't really be too ticked about Pierre Thomas...he got plenty of touches, but couldn't break any of them and got stuffed on the goal line. Now that Bush is out, Thomas should get even more...but somehow Payton will manage to find someone else to give the ball to. I'm willing to bet DeShawn Wynn gets 25 carries next week.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

I'm a combined 0-6 so far this year, having went up against my league's high scorer for the week in 5 of the 6 matchups.  I'm in the top half of total points (3rd of 10 in one league) and completely winless because my opponents are averaging 140-150 points.  I'm confident that things will turn around since it's not really my lack of scoring or team talent, but being 0-6 is pretty demoralizing.

Nope, Dexter McCluster and Bengals D/ST, and a bunch of guys with around 5 points.

EDIT: and Kenny Britt...glad you could finally show up Kenny

Another loss by less than 2 points.  I'm the 3rd highest scorer in that league, and am now 0-3.  I lost to the 8th highest scorer (out of 10) and he's 3-0.  How is this even possible?
