In my league, playoff week #1 shows seeds 1, 2 and 3 all going down. Interesting.

I lose, miss the playoffs with an 8-6 record. FML.

I'm about to finish 9-5 and miss the playoffs. My division is just evil. We need to expand the playoffs Sam.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

Yeah, we should make it six teams right now, so we're both in... Image

You did your part, but the other games didn't shake your way and the Cleveland Steamers are still making the playoffs.  So unfortunately, no spoiler victory for that.

I have Rodgers in 2 out of 4 leagues. I have a bye in both leagues I don't have Rodgers and a game in both leagues I do have him.

Thanks to DMC, Turner and Jackson, I managed to win both games.

NFL Blitz has better referees.

We play each other in the "consolation" bracket.  Since that means absolutely nothing, and I'd like to have one more week of FF means something, I think we need a side bet (preferably a non-monetary one).

Argh.....I'm nervous today. Up by 30, but the guy I'm playing has Forte going tonight. If I win, I take on the #8 seed in the championship (I'm #7). Obviously, the Bears will be running lots, so that's what is making me nervous.

well, I won my semi-final 197-144 so I'm in the championship game again. If the Bears stop Adrian Peterson with <27 fantasy points, our league will be a rematch from last season's title bout that I won. Only difference is last year I was #1 seed and the other guy was #2; This year I'm #7 and he's #8. Neither of us thought we'd get as far as we have.

In the champioship game this week. I need 1.5 points from Peterson tonight to make it back-to-back champioships!!

...and the $650 will be nice as well.

And Peterson is inactive.  Congrats on 2nd place Image

Good thing I made a $650 decision by picking up Gerhart this week just in case!!!

That's huge. I was gonna say just pick up anyone...ANYONE, to get 1.5 points. Even a 3rd-stringer. Gerhart works Image Nicely done.

I survived Vincent Jackson's 34 points and will likely be moving on to the next round of the playoffs.

I love playing in IDP leagues because even if your opponent gets some fluky score from a skill guy, if they have crappy IDP's and you don't it typically balances out. I got big games from Desmond Bishop, Alterraun Verner, Derrick Johnson, and Michael Griffin on the IDP side in addition to Witten and Brees going off to offset the fact my opponent had Peyton Manning, Hakeem Nicks, LeGarrette Blount, and Michael Turner in addition to Jackson. Mike Williams (TB), Larry Fitzgerald, and Run DMC chipped in too.

My other team failed miserably behind Knowshon Moreno's 0.6 points, hooray.

I took a huge win or lose gamble by picking up Tebow and starting him over Jason Campbell. Currently, Campbell has 6 points, Tebow has 31 and I'm projected to win by 35. I guess I'll have to change my team name next year from Bretts Favre-o-licious to Tebow is my hero or something like that.

Going into tomorrow night's game, I am losing the title game 160-94. My opponent is done and I have Roddy White and Michael Turner, so I have a chance. But I need BIG nights from both of them (66 pt. deficit with 2 players to go is "nothing" in our league with some decent "distance TDs")

Still, I'd be much better off if I had not gone with Jon Kitna (10 pts.) instead of Matt Ryan tomorrow night. And Vincent Jackson's 14 pts. was vastly insufficient compared to Kenny Britt (36 pts.) and Miles Austin (42 pts.) on my bench. So I blame myself for some wrong (not "bad") decisions.

Still, I didn't expect to be in the title game to begin with so, I'll take whatever I get.

Oh, and I hit a 5-team parlay today, too, for $110.00! Nice!

$110 for a five team parlay?  Nice picks, but man, you have to up your bet a little.  Image

I'm still alive tonight, down 14 points with Roddy White to go and against Tony Gonzalez.  I'm chalking down a loss, and blaming the Green Bay Packers (played against Rodgers and Packer D) and Christmas (stupid Cowboys RB situation said Marion Barber was out so I started Choice...Jones Drew out, and wasn't able to be on top of the situation due to family time for the holiday).

Seriously, watching that Packer game when it was clear they would win big was sickening with six turnovers and Aaron Rodgers passing when he should have been out of the game.  Four turnovers instead of six, and one less TD and 55 less yards or so, and the Packers still win by 20+ and I am just about guaranteed $500 in my pocket with a chance at $1000 next week.

It was Football Hell.  And I will be absolutely destroyed if the Packers don't finish the job next week.

Rant over, Go Roddy White, bring me back memories of 1998 Monday Night game with Fred Taylor winning me a title!

as for parlays, $5 per ticket is usually my limit, so I'll take a 2200% return on my investment. I'm such a cheapskate.

Lost my championship game due to the Falcons complete ineptitude in tonight's game. This is the first time (in five tries) that I've been in the championship game and NOT won. Reminds me a LOT of spending New Year's Eve as a single guy, sure that you're going to a least get a sweet kiss from a hot girl and falling way short and end of kissing your bottle of beer at the stroke of midnight instead.

Pulled off a 16-0 season in the 8-team league I was in this year, and that was with me stupidly sitting Rodgers this past week. I got scared off by the possibility of Rodgers not being sharp coming back and the Giants' pass rush possibly knocking him out, so I went with Jon Kitna against the Cardinals figuring he'd keep up the big numbers against that bad D. Turns out I had the results flip on me. Oh well.
