Its going to be a noisy game. First game in the new stadium and the crowd is going to be wild. One of my co-workers refused to take me along for some reason (rotten Vikings fans anyway).

Every time I see their new stadium I think of this

NFL Blitz has better referees.

Certainly hope for a good game, since the afternoon games weren't al that great.

Nice Drive (not really, thanks Vikings for all the penalty yards)

And for not blocking on the punt.

I thought the Packers would cut or trade Adams in the pre-season. And I still wish they had. That guy takes up a LOT of passes for very little offense. He just can't get it done.

I can't believe we didn't run on 3rdAND1, but then did on 4th and 1 with Starks out of the shotgun. I'm stunned on the playcalling. Is this MM or Rodgers?

Well, this game is pretty cruddy, too. And not just because the pack suck tonight.

Don't know where to put the blame on play calling. But this offense has been completely anemic tonight. When Bradford is outplaying Rodgers, that's a serious issue with both the Packers offense and defense.

The defense hasn't been horrible. But wow on the offense. We just look like the team is not on the same page. Maybe we need more preseason work together.

Put the ball on the ground too many times tonight. Bound to be burned by it.

Still a chance to steal the game on a final drive. Will gladly take an ugly win.

I haven't heard any update on Micah Hyde. Did I miss it? Is he out for the game?

Burnett is questionable with a hamstring injury. Hopefully, we won't need the defense anymore. [smile]

Fitting to have that drive end on an INT. Just some major suckitude on offense tonight.

Ugh... I spoke too soon. Rodgers' mistake, but I never get a good feeling when throwing to Adams. He just doesn't do routes well.

Hyde is in there now.

Randall with the final nail-in-the-coffin penalty. Been abused all night by Diggs.

My biggest complaint about how MM runs the preseason is that we normally look terrible the first 2-4 games. Its like we spend so little time with the regular starters together at game speed that we look like we are running slow and out of sync for a few games.

http://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2016/ ... montgomery

I can't take the credit for the analysis, but the realization bothers me. The Packers kept too many WR to not use more of the young, faster options as part of the offense.
Montgomery had maybe the best play of the entire game on the punt block...but couldn't get onto the field on offense?

Hey, numbers backing up what my eyes were seeing:

I thought the Packers would cut or trade Adams in the pre-season. And I still wish they had. That guy takes up a LOT of passes for very little offense. He just can't get it done.

Another thing that I noticed is that a very high percentage of the passes were to the edges of the field and not the middle. Especially early in the game. I saw one slant route (where Adams didn't get in front of the CB and Rodgers was nearly picked off) and a couple incompletions to Cobb and Nelson. Then later in the game, there were several passes to Cook and Rodgers in the middle (when we were actually moving the ball fairly well).

Seems like Rodgers was forcing it to the WRs too often and throwing to the edge way too often. Getting the TEs in the game seems like a good idea to mix things up. Especially since Cook or Rodgers against a LB is probably our 2nd or 3rd best matchup.

I tried to back this up by finding a chart of Rodger's completions on the field (kind of like the Basketball make/miss charts), but couldn't find anyone with one... Do any of you know where I might find that?
