No Matthews, and sounds like no Harvin. Harvin is the bigger loss here, as I don't think the Vikings have enough offensive balance without him to keep the Pack from loading up on AP. Should be a win as long as we don't crap all over ourselves on offense.

A WR is not nearly as big a loss as CMIII imo.

I think it's a bigger loss in this match up with what the teams are capable of doing without them. The Packers can compensate for a lack of a pass rusher against a team that can't throw the ball. The Vikings have no balance on offense with a mediocre QB with no threats to throw to.

It is when that WR is the Vikings' only offensive threat outside of AP. They should be completely one-dimensional.

In other Vikings discussion, am I missing something about the Jared Allen hit from last week? All the talk has been about Suh's maybe or maybe not accidental or on purpose kick to Schaub's danglies, but there's hardly been a mention of Allen launching himself at the head of a defenseless player and knocking him out for the season. Totally seemed like something for which Goodell would suspend someone.

Or was I just being hopeful because I don't want him all up in Rodgers' junk today?

Some days, I wish the Packers would just go 2-14....so they wouldn't have to get Aikman/Buck on a regular basis. Damn, Damn, Damn!

3rd & 1 ... Rodgers breaks contain after avoiding the sack, and with no one between him and the first down marker, he throws the ball 20+ yards down the field into coverage. Bad situational football; take what the defense gives you.

This has happened all year. Its like he wants to make the big play instead of just getting the first down.

Was anyone going to take a closer look to make sure he didn't go out of bounds? Seems like they glossed over that pretty quickly.

3 time outs left, 3 minutes left in the half...why not challenge the spot to see if he got up and over the first down line before getting touched. Even if you lose, you're not going to have enough time to run a 2-minute offense, and you still end up punting?
