I dont think there is any chance that Det upsets New Orleans....so it looks like the winner of Giants/Atlanta will visit Lambeau Field.

Its an interesting round of playoff contenders:

- Detroit, NYG, and Atlanta all have revenge motivation if they were to play the Packers.
- NO has the only offense to match with the Packers and a good running game to handle a cold weather game
- SF has the best defense and a good running game to handle a cold weather game.

Granted, NO or SF won't come to Lambeau until the Championship game, but still makes for a tough road, no matter who the opponent will be.

Packers vs Patriots is most likely Super Bowl matchup say the stat guys:

Give packers a 20% chance of winning it all (highest among all teams).

I've decided I'm not going to root for anyone in particular, as the last couple times I got what I wished for, my team lost.

a) NYG beats DAL, Packers get to play NYG at home in the NFCC.

b) STL beats PHI in the NLDS, Brewers get to have a home NLCS and avoid the best rotation in the league.

The Lions are not rolling over to the Saints like I thought they would.

I am unabashedly rooting for the Lions here. Anything to get the Saints out of the playoffs.

Should have been 21-7 Detroit right now if one ref hadn't blown the whistle thinking Brees threw an incomplete pass on his fumble.  Should have given the Lions 7 more points, instead it just cost the Saints about 20 yards in field position.

Geesh... I'm cheering against New Orleans (instead of for Detroit) in this game, but if I was a Lions fan I would be wondering what the refs have against the Lions? With the HORRIBLE officiating in the game last week against Green Bay (the refs missed calls both ways, but it really hurt Detroit) and a couple calls tonight have been brutal. The fumble with the inadvertent whistle probably cost the Lions 7 points, and then the personal foul for going to the helmet towards the end of the first half was awful. The Lions player had his hand on the helmet, but didn't pull or anything. That ref blew both the penalty and the call on the field.

That was a good call. You can't slap a helmet with your hand. In fact on that drive the Lions should have had 2 more personal fouls (the whipping the back to the ground after the whistle and when Suh horsetackled Brees on a sack attempt). Schwartz's team plays incredibly dirty.

I'm not cheering for anyone either. I dislike Schwarz way too much to ever cheer for the Lions.

I think either way, we have a tough path.

Oh give me a break!  He didn't slap the helmet.  He went up to knock down the ball, and his hand was on the receiver's helmet.  There wasn't any force at all!

Horrible call on the QB sneak by the refs. Brees pulled that ball back in on his own. So, forward progress is where the ball ends up. Of course, neither of the announcers mentioned it. Its not like a TD where the play dies as soon as the ball crosses the goal line.

They were so enamored with his leap.

I was thinking the exact same thing.  Reaching forward then pulling the ball back is just like running past the first down marker then intentionally running backwards.

The Lions have gave up over 600 yards to Brees and company.

Sean Payton was calling plays late in the game like he bet his house on the over.

Poor Lions. First return trip to the postseason since '99, & they just were sloppy & outgunned. I think they're maybe just ahead of schedule, in terms of their rebuild. They have some undeniable talent, but still need to fill out the role players. Hard not to like their D-line, & Tulloch has performed well. Megatron & Stafford on offense doesn't hurt either.

They were mostly outgunned on the sidelines. Going for it on 4th like Payton did tells us he is among the best coaches in the league. Schwartz coaches as if he's auditioning for the next Raider's opening.

No, they were definitely most outgunned on the field. Their defense, as good as it can be, couldn't stop the Saints to save itself.  Obviously I don't think much of Schwartz, but the coaching last game was not the standout difference.
