I'll be around, the nerves are beginning to ratchet up. Thinking about what winning this game would mean to guys like Woodson, Driver, and Clifton is exciting. The talent is there, it's the execution that needs to come through.

I still have this feeling something Jarrett Bush does today is going to swing the game either way. It's kind of that whole redemption vs. goat thing. I wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie Peprah make a big play sometime during the game, too. It should be a game for the ages.

Just heard Marshall Faulk say that Desmond Bishop is the "X Factor" in the game. Thinking about it, I think he may be right. If Bishop can cover Heath Miller while picking his spots to get pressure on the QB, the defense will be in great shape. As I said in the lead-up thread, I'm nervous about dump off/short passes going for 10-20 yards. Miller will be a big part of that.

Of all the days to be sick my body felt the need to be sick on the day of the Super Bowl.  I felt it coming on, on Friday and did all I could to kick it yesterday but its floored me today.  So I won't be leaving my couch at all today.  I don't know what it is but I'm not nervous about the game.  At least nowhere near the level I was going against the Bears.  It might be because I'm sick but I think it has more to do with the fact that if they should lose I'm for the most part OK with it.  If they would have lost against the Bears, I wouldn't have been.  Now for my prediction.

The Packers will put up a good fight but in the end Big Ben pulls out another one.  After all, he is an expert at pulling out.  The Packers won't be able to stop the Steelers rushing attack and can't get off the field on 3rd down.  Rodgers will be sacked 6 times fumbling twice, while the Packers only sack Ben once.  I also predict there will be at least 3 head to head or cheap shots not called in this game..

Steelers 24
Packers 17

If it's redemption, I'm willing to retract every negative thing I've ever said about him.

Phew, thanks jason. I feel much better now. And nicely done with the pulling out line.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

Zombo gets the start at OLB.  Inactives are:

OLB Erik Walden, FB Quinn Johnson, RB Dimitri Nance, CB Josh Gordy, OL Evan Dietrich-Smith, CB Brandon Underwood and OL Nick McDonald.

Johnson is somewhat of a surprise, but it would seem to tip McCarthy's hand at how much he plans to run tonight.  Guess we'll be seeing Raji at FB at some point!

Also, those that purchased tickets located in the "temporary" seating sections may be out of luck, and are just now finding out about it:

That has to suck for QJ, to go from starting to being inactive in the Super Bowl. Looks like we will be airing it out. The same thing happened to Howard Green vs. Philly though, so it's all about being a team player.

Hopefully Zombo can step in and give an admirable performance. At least he's fresh.
