Oh, the irony...

Vikings fans repeatedly deny the team a new stadium, so now the team is asking them to shovel out the college stadium.
The university says it will take shoveling volunteers every day from Thursday through Sunday. The school will even provide the shovels if necessary.

How nice of them!  Do they get to keep the shovels?  I feel like I'm missing something.

I took Jazzy to mean that of course they should provide shovels, if they're asking people to volunteer for shoveling duty.

That would be better than the nothing that seems to be the current offer.  But TLB is right, my point is that the wording in the article was humorous.  They said, "The school will even provide the shovels if necessary," as if the volunteers should be thanking them for the opportunity to use their shovel.

If I see Goodell and Wilf out amongst the fans in the cold, I will be very impressed.

Also, they were originally looking for volunteers, but now the Vikings are saying that the workers are being paid.

The most important game of the week isn't even the Packers vs Patriots. It's the Eagles vs Giants and we're all Eagles fans.

That could be a giant waste of money when they move the game to Indianapolis. Is there a reason they can't use Detroit again?

Ford Field had a Fox camera crew in place, due to the Packers-Lions game the day before.  Bears-Vikings is an ESPN (MNF) game.

Because the Packers would be getting screwed twice.

Talk about a quick change of momentum.  The Niners kick a field goal, but a Chargers player gets called for leverage, so they get 15 yards and a first down.  Then they score a touchdown on 3rd down, which gets reviewed and overturned, making it 4th down on the 6-inch line.  They go for it, but the left guard whiffs on his block and Dixon gets blown up in the backfield.  They both made a field goal and scored a touchdown on one drive, only to come away with zero points.

Then on the third or fourth play after the Chargers take over, Justin Smith gets into a fight with another player which gets broken up by an official, except Smith apparently didn't know it was an official and pushed him out of the way.  15 yard penalty and Smith gets ejected.  They were only down 7-0 before all of this, then got completely blown out of the water.  But for a blowout, that was an exciting 10 minutes of action.

It's a good thing Washington locked up McNabb for that extra five years.  Now they're benching him for Rex Grossman.

Favre sounds like he has no intentions of playing Monday night: [quote]“Being a nerve or whatever there’s not a whole lot you can do,â€

I fixed it for you.

Translation: I came here to play in a dome, you idiots...not on frozen sod in 1 degree weather.  And my streak is over so what's the point?

I believe McNabb's contract is set up so the Redskins can release him after this season without paying most of the money. Is there any doubt he'll be wearing purple next year?

Apparently not quite far enough.  He's now the 3rd string QB behind Grossman and John Beck.

I think its safe to say if Tebow fails as an NFL QB in Denver, McDaniels ran that organization to the ground in every way possible....
