NFL Network Thursday night:
Houston @ Philadelphia

I'm willing to bet anything no one trash talks Andre Johnson.

CBS early:
Buffalo @ Minnesota - Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots

Fox early:
San Francisco @ Green Bay – Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick

Fox late:
Dallas @ Indianapolis – Joe Buck, Troy Aikman

NBC Sunday night:
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore

ESPN Monday night:
NYJets @ New England

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

Thom Brennaman and Brain Billick twice in a row, yuck. Good thing I will be at the game.

I'll pretend you didn't say that Image

Billick is the best color commentator on any station at any time.  His analysis is the only one worth listening to.  If Tom Jackson decided to join a booth, I might re-think that, but for now, Billick is excellent.  Brennaman is meh, but far from bad.

Billick was pretty bad last week. I've been neutral on Brennaman in the past, but he portrayed the clueless play-by-play man pretty well last time out. Based on the most recent precedent, I look forward to a second consecutive Sunday of insufficient replays and confusing analysis.

Do they determine the replays?

I forgot all about this game. Too bad too because I was pretty excited about it. Oh well.

As for Brennaman, he is awful. He was the DBacks announcer before they get Sutton and he was even worse with Mark Grace than Sutton is (a tall order, to say the least). Then he went home to Cincy and continued his inept and distasteful ways. He also does college football and became a national laughingstock with his Tebow soliloquy during the 2009 National Championship. He's another example of how broadcasting is probably the most nepotistic field around. If your dad was a broadcaster, somebody will hire you, no matter how big of an idiot you are (or your dad is/was).

I do like Billick though. When he's around, I can tune out Brennaman better than I can when he's doing other sports.

No, but the fact that they are the #4 crew seemingly limits their crews resources and competency.

Brennaman has been around forever. When the Packers sucked back in the early 90's he was routinely assigned to the games. We always pronounced the "TH" in his name (like these, those, them, etc.) because it seemed to suit him better.

I'm rooting for Vikings to win out. It will help the Packers. Shoot me now.

Brett Favre has already thrown an interception and has been knocked out of the game against Buffalo. T-Jax in.

That hit looked vicious.  At this point, he's gotta be thinking of just taking his ball and going home.  Why go through it anymore?

If Tavaris can un-Tavaris it for the rest of the game and play outstanding, that could be Favre's last pass. If Favre's significantly injured, Tavaris' performance today is moot, obviously.

OK, that answered my initial thought, since I didn't see it and don't know, but my brain went to, was that orchestrated to get Favre out "gracefully" and TJax in? But if it was a vicious hit, then that shoots it out of the water.....or maybe someone "accidentally" missed a block?

Yeah, Favre was scrambling a bit and got drilled in the back. No way he possibly could've seen the guy coming.

Leslie Frazier jumped on the Brett Favre bandwagon when he was named interim coach, likely because he thought it was his best chance to get the full-time gig.  But after the way Jackson has played today, even if Favre is "healthy", how does he justify starting Favre without it being so blatantly obvious they are just keeping the streak alive?  Today has to be the end of the streak, doesn't it?

I fully expect this injury to be the knockout punch, whether it be true or not. Better that for Brett than be benched for Tavaris Jackson.

1-T-Jack sucks

2-NO comes back and looks like they'll get the win
