Will surely be a blowout, but I'm looking forward to seeing more of James White--at least before they start playing actual challengers.

I saw a guy in downtown Chicago wearing a San Jose St jersey yesterday. I wanted to mock him but I was on a bus and he was on the sidewalk.

Can anybody tell me a radio station the Badger game should be on in the Stevens Point/Marshfiled area?

That was actually a pretty pathetic first quarter. Can't keep making mistakes like that... they need to shape up fast.

550am Wsau carries the Badgers. They also have an FM outlet, but I don't recall what it is.

WOSQ 92.3 use to have the Badgers too when I lived over there. Not sure if they still do.

I think 99.9 in Point still have Badger rights.

Shouldn't be too hard to find one, good luck!

Two turnovers inside the SJSU 10. Forget beating Big Ten teams... they won't beat Arizona State next week if they keep playing like this.

The nice thing about the turnovers is that they're correctable. It's not like San Jose is exploiting a weakness or anything. They've completed one pass of significance and haven't really done much else. I'm not worried at all about this team.

Oh, boy. Gilreath hasn't moved since that hit. Hope to God he's alright, because that hit didn't look good at all.

Pretty pathetic showing thus far against an outmatched opponent, but I've come to expect that from a Bielema-coached team.

I hope Gilreath is OK.

Alvarez's teams oftentimes came out flat to begin the year too. Examples:

1993 - Badgers beat SMU 24 - 16 in the second game of the year. SMU went 2 - 7 - 2 that year, UW won the Rose Bowl.
1999 - Badgers lose third game of the year to Cincinnati. Cincy goes on to a 3 - 8 record, UW won the Rose Bowl.
2005 - Badgers give up 42 points in the opener to Bowling Green. BG ends up 6 - 5, UW wins 10 games including a butt spanking over Auburn in the Capital One Bowl.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish.

Now, am I happy they played so sloppily? No, not at all. The missed tackles on that long TD play by San Jose were pathetic as were the backfield/snap fumbles on offense. But let's also not forget that UW was missing two of their top players in Borland and Toon. Clay is not 100% yet either and Tolzien was uncharacteristically bad. I'm still not all that worried. This team is very talented. But like others have said, if they continue to have the mental lapses they won't compete this year. I have faith they will correct them.

I want to avoid the "what have you done for me lately" attitude. The Badgers had two shaky wins against 2 cupcakes. Michigan won two huge games against UConn and ND.

Is Michigan a better team than Wisconsin? No way.

UConn and ND are cupcakes too.

Updates on Gilreath, per Jeff Potrykus...

- Released from hospital later on Sat. Appears to have 'only' suffered a concussion.

- Not listed on depth chart for upcoming game against ASU:"UW coach Bret Bielema said Gilreath has to demonstrate during the week that he is not bothered by any post-concussion symptoms (headaches, dizziness) before he is cleared to play.

'Yesterday he came to my office and as you guys know he is very modest," Bielema said. 'He was like: 'I can't believe I had to get carried off the field.'

'I said David, let's just be thankful for where we're at right now...Today we don't practice so we'll come back in tomorrow and see where he is at.'

If Gilreath is held out, redshirt freshman Jared Abbrederis should handle punt returns and freshman James White should handle kickoff returns."

"Thank you, Senator... a thoughtful and lucid answer. YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!" -- Moderator Morbo

Abbrederis impressed me on offense. Looks to have some nice hands.
