CHI was just forced to punt. They had a very favorable ball placement on that last first down. Now I hope Peyton drives it down their throat. He has been rusty, but that last drive was better, obviously. That #22 on CHI has been the difference. He has helped make Orton look better than he is.

Lots of Bears fans in Indianapolis. Another lucky Bears play on that fumble... it's in their culture. They can count on about one of those every other game. I'm so jealous.

was just going to say, they are really good at slapping at the ball and knocking it out. They got Jones last year on that, and like you said seem to get one a game. Very good d.

Brian Urlacher should stop doing commercials right now.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

John Madden is pretty might right on. It looks like the old bears out there. That defense has a lot of energy, and Matt Forte doesn't look too bad either.

So on an important 4th and 1 the Colts look at their arsenal and all the different plays they could do, and they decide the best option is to have their backup RB run it up the gut.

I've been waiting for the Colts to run a screen all game long. This has been some crappy play-calling and the miscommunications between Manning and the coaches makes it look even worse.

The Bears are averaging over 5 yards a carry. It's very hard to win when they're doing that. Cmon Colts. It's your new house they're beating you in. Show some nads and stop the run

Does anyone else feel like there have been an unusual amount of pitches and sweeps today? Is this a ZBS thing?

The bears are just kicking the snot outta them. Their d has played very fast and they seem to have a pretty good running game. Look out for the Bears if they continue this.

That 3rd and 1 pass to Clark two plays prior to the TD was a carbon-copy of the play they ran against the Packers @ Lambeau last year. Apparently it still works...

Has the Bears rushing game really proved anything? I think their game today was more a product of the Colts being doughy soft against the run --- this is a team a season removed from being dead last in run defense. Forte doesn't have any sort of track record yet for me to give any benefit of the doubt here, so I'm in wait-and-see mode for the time being.

One thing I do know is that no one can Game-Manager their way to a win like Kyle Orton. No one.

I think Forte has shown some nice moves and the speed to take it to the house. He also took a pretty darn good hit from Sanders, sat out a play or two and came right back in, so I think he has toughness too. True Its only one game, but he has over 120 yds, even if it is against a weak d, its still not bad for the rookie.

This short pass crap has got to stop. You can't dink and dunk down the field with 5 minutes left and needing a minimum of two scores.

I'm glad to see Mike Brown made it all the way back from yet another season-ending injury last year. Good player, too... It sucks that he's a Bear.

So what's more shocking, Bears over Colts @ Indy or Bills over Seahawks?

Bears over Colts. SEA was only favored by 1. The next closest shocker was CAR winning in SD, although that took a last minute drive.

I am totally shocked at how well we played today, though I will remain skeptical, because I don't think Manning was in game-shape mentally or physically. Still, was nice to see the D dominate and Forte may actually be ok after all.

Honestly, that front seven wasn't even challenged last night. They were blitzing nearly every play, and Manning couldn't make them pay for it. They would blitz, Manning would get the ball off quickly to someone in the flat. It was 3 yard passes all night, so there was no reason for the Bears to drop anyone else. I think Dallas Clark going down had a huge late impact on that game.
