I don't think Favre gets OT either...always seems to be a tipped ball here or arm hit there that leads to interceptions. I also don't think Favre would have been as patient to lead them back. I wouldn't have wanted Favre at all this season...just 2008.

Some clown on Chicago sports radio said Rodgers was terrible yesterday. His reasoning was the two bombs he missed to Jennings. I didn't know a bomb was as sure a thing as a 5 yard hitch.

I think all of Chicago will be bitter towards us until they find a decent QB. They're just pissed because we went from one All-Pro to another and they just mortgaged their future for Cutler.

And I pretty much stay away from any site where a large majority of posters think Favre has magical playoff powers. Favre had as many awful games in the playoffs as he did good games. The guy has the playoff record for INTs in a game.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

Cutler will be much improved next season. That's a team failure they had down there in Chicago. If Bears fans are putting Forte's sophmore slump, defensive injuries, and poor coaching from both coordinators on Jay Cutler without looking at who he had to throw to, that's a mistake. If they get Brandon Marshall or some other help high in the draft or free agency, they will be right there around 9-7 next season.

Do the Bears even have high draft picks? Their 1st is going to Denver for Cutler, and their 2nd is going to Tampa for Gaines Adams. Feel free to correct me if I have the years wrong.

You're correct, which is why I said they pretty much mortgaged their future. I don't think Brandon Marshall is going anywhere, and they don't have much for draft picks next year.

The Marshall thing was spoken of one the ESPN show yesterday morning, IIRC. Didn't want to make it seem like I pulled that out of thin air.

This is inconsequential to the result of the play, but IMO the last play should have been ruled an interception. Rodgers arm was moving forward. If ball had fallen to the ground rather than Rodgers kicking the ball up in the air, I think we could be looking at another "Tuck" ruling ala Brady vs. Oakland.

Man, just listening to all of the locker room interviews you can tell just how devastated the players are. Grant and Jenkins were crying for god's sake.

Next year will be great. My bones sense it.

I haven't figured out how to embed video with this web browser, but here's the link to the Deadspin post:

Hopefully someone else can embed the video... pathetic & yet oh so relate-able Image

And I just saw this on Yahoo.com's lead stories... These refs will never be accused of coddling the quarterback.

However, there's one pretty bad & comical error --
First, on second-and-10, Rodgers dumped the ball off to Jarrett Bush on a play that went for about 15 yards. We actually did see a flag there, but it was for holding on the Packers, not the blatant helmet-to-helmet hit Rodgers took after getting rid of the ball.

I hate the tuck rule nonsense. To me, it should not be considered a throw until it voluntarily leaves the QB's hand, not if its moving forward. Maybe he was pump faking? So in my mind a fumble should be the correct call there, not that it matters what I think.

Bertrand Berry was fined $5K for his helmet to helmet hit on Rodgers. Fines for plays that did not draw a penalty happen all the time, but this one stings just a little bit more...
