Make that three people Image

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

Every Steeler play consisted of one, or both, of them yelling "get him, get him, get him" from the snap of the ball until the player scored or was down.

Heh... this sounds like a bad (is there any other kind) Family Guy randomly-flashed-to-scene

The more I look back on the final drive for Pittsburgh, the more credit I give Capers for not falling into the typical "prevent defense" mentality which has plagued teams for years upon years.

On the final 5 plays the Packers rushed three (first down Pittsburgh), five (short completion), five (QB pressure, incomplete), four plus a MLB spy (incomplete), four plus a MLB spy (incomplete). Great playcalling, considering that most teams in that situation would rush three and drop eight, give up dink and dunks to the 30-25 yardline and then try to hold the opponent out of the endzone.

I do wonder if we had Woodson and Shields would they have dropped 8, but either way it worked out well.

Capers was brilliant the entire game, and I get this feeling there were a few drives when LeBeau probably had a grin on his face watching Capers playcalling. I especially loved the passing downs with Jenkins and Raji lined up far to the right and a pile of linebackers all hovering around the middle and left.

It's obvious you need new football friends.
A group of us that I felt comfortable watching the game with were supposed to watch it at a bar.  For some reason, half of them went to one house party and the other half went to another house party.  I did not know the host or any other guests at either party, so I had to make a decision.  Since I separated from my wife about 4 months ago, I chose the party that was being attended by an attractive woman that I have "grown fond of".  That part and the Packers winning part were both good.  As far as the rest of the viewing experience, I've heard that the other party was much better.  You win some, you lose some I guess.

If you didn't get any further with the attractive woman, I hope you pointed at her on your way out and said "You were not worth this!"

They didn't provide the embed code, and I'm not smart enough to figure out how to post the video, so here is the link. This one's ok but it was produced by the NFL and it is unbiased and has a lot of non game footage. It does have some radio from each side though.

Kevin Greene [EDIT: not] at halftime, to Clay Matthews:

Everybody looks up to Wood as being a leader.  He's gone.  Nobody's standing up & rallying the troops.  It is time.  It is time.

I didn't see the random thread or a discussion about the seating snafu, so I'll post this link here. This article makes me yearn for Fire Joe Morgan. From the usually respectable Dan Wetzel...

I thought this occurred right before the Mendenhall fumble drive?

You might be right, I just went off the structure of the video leading up to that... and that it looked like Greene was walking around on the field of play with Matthews. They showed the forced fumble right after that, which could just have been an editing trick. Or it could have been that I screwed up when it happened.

I think I remember them showing that clip and saying it happened right before the 4th quarter started, and the first play of the 4th quarter was the fumble. The only part I heard then was the "It is time" part, so I assumed Greene had been holding him back all game and finally unleashed him Image

I think we have the motherlode.  I haven't even watched all of them yet.

The exchange in the third one between Green and Matthews and then Matthews "feeling" that they were running his way were awesome.  And did the ref really tell Woodley that the coach told him to stop ++##!@@@ and get the quarterback?

Wow... I've only watched the 3rd video and it's kind of emotional for me.

That's pretty good. My favorite thing in Sound FX things like that are when players/coaches talk about something that and it works that way perfectly on the field, like Jennings talking about the corner route because Polamalu was looking for the seam. To think a player as great as Polamalu was duped so easily...just incredible. And the entire Clay Matthews before the fumble was Babe Ruth calling his shot incredible.

I've finished the Bears slideshow....I whipped it together very quickly, so it's not quite as stellar as the other ones (in my opinion). I will post it in the Bears in game thread as soon as youtube approves it. Let me know what you think.

So, assuming there's football next season, can Walt Anderson ref all of our games?
