Losing a game with 177 net rushing yards: doesn't happen often in the NFL.

It's hard to pick out one or two major reasons why the team is struggling. It's more like a bunch of small ones adding up. Maybe it's coaching. But maybe it's more a personnel issue.

Frustrating is a perfect word to use for this team this year.

With the number of offensive plays wasted because of miscommunication between the QB and intended WR, I'd have liked at least one time out where the offense could have huddled.

The problem, I'm sure, is Clements. In a game where we were running at will, he kept passing passing passing to Adams over and over again. We have a tight end, yet we never throw him the ball. Jones? How many passes his way tonight, one? Jeff Janis, the fastest receiver we have right now, somebody who could stretch the defense, and has been making plays every time he's touched the ball, he sits on the bench.

I'm done. This season is going flush, and McCarthy has no clue how to get away from the drain.

It's a combination of the receivers and the offensive play calling. I thought the o-line did ok tonight for the most part.

The receivers, as has been noted constantly, can't get open. Ever. How often has Rodgers been able to take the snap, scan the field for a second, and just make a throw more than five yards downfield to at least a semi-open receiver? Ten percent of the time? Maybe?

You can predict exactly what will happen on the pass plays that aren't screens or throws into the flat. Receivers get off the line slowly and drift into their routes. Nobody separates at all and if Rodgers is still standing, he starts scrambling. Looks downfield, can't find anyone open. Starts scrambling the other way. Can't find anyone. Finally, he runs with it or just throws it where it can't be picked (and yes, I'm glad he doesn't throw picks). No, he hasn't been his perfect accurate self, but when the standard is just that - perfection - it's hard to keep that up when you have no help.

Thus, the coaches need to do something to help him out. Get some creativity going. Figure out a way to help the receivers get open. I don't understand how other teams end up with guys running free over the middle play after play, yet Green Bay can't figure it out. Teams with terrible QB's can figure out how to score points yet in the meantime, we have the best QB of the past decade and possibly one of the top few of all time and just because Jordy Nelson is down, we can't figure out how to move the ball.

It's just gross.

I kept waiting for a back shoulder throw to Jones after 1st and goal the 8. But they never tried it. No need to be open in that route and Jones is good at it.
