Pretty surprised that Ball is coming back for his senior year. I really like him though and selfishly am glad he's going to play again. He's really a classy, intelligent young man. Really embodies what a "student athlete" should represent.

EDIT: Title.-PF

Very happy to have him back. If the Badgers are able to fill some of the gaping hole left by Wilson's departure, they should be able to make another Rose Bowl run in our wide-open division.

I'm glad he is coming back, but I don't understand why he would return to college. His NFL stock will never be higher than it is right now.

He said that he would have only left for the NFL if he was a first round pick. Since he was projected for the third round, it was an easy decision. He plans to gain about 10 pounds in the offseason to get up to 215.

The 2012 season still rests on the coaching and on quarterback/defense play.

Can't really criticize someone's personal decision, but all the football-related info really makes this look like a curious decision. Ball won't have a season as good as this year's. The Badgers won't be nearly as good. And the risk of injury for a running back is really high.

I don't think Ball needs a season as good as this one to improve his NFL stock, though. He just needs to prove he isn't a one year wonder. If he has another good year, showing speed, power and vision (not necessarily the numbers) and I'll bet he improves his stock to a 1st or 2nd.

I read somewhere that scouts told him to gain 10lbs for next year also.
