Obviously this is huge for the Badgers' 2011 chances. They are certainly the Big Ten favorite now. There are plenty of remaining issues--how fast he adjusts/learns plays/etc--but its more a matter of whether the Badgers will be really good or NC-worthy.

Whoa.

Gotta admit I was pretty hesitant when Alvarez stepped down (or up?), but Bielema is one serious dude and is really coming into his own. To pull this off means he can be a pretty good recruiter as well.
Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

This is pretty exciting. I don't know that much about Wilson but the guys on College Football Live seem to love him so that is pretty heartening. We'll have to see how it works out but as of now, I'm a lot more optimistic about this upcoming season than I was yesterday.

It's always worth being a little cautious, but I like the odds of a multiyear experienced quarterback with natural athleticism making a big time impact. So often in college football that age and experience combo really makes a difference

Why? Because they lost 3 players and have the 2009 freshman of the year coming back from injury?
The secondary might have some question marks, but a year of experience should make a big difference there.
