Going forward, the nice thing for UW is that they get to play the clearly number one program in the Big Ten every year, assuming they rebound fine off the Tressel issues and thus it's always going to be a really big game for fans to look forward to. Plus, i find it extra fun beating the Buckeyes because many of their fans feel that program has a god given right to a Big Ten title and it irritates their fans about the number of times Wisconsin has beat them. That said, in years where OSU are loaded with talent, it could prevent even good Badger teams from winning their division.

My other issue is that when Penn St. is fielding less than stellar teams as has generally been the case for awhile now, the Leaders division can lack the type of games that Badgers fans can get excited about watching. For the most part, games against Purdue, Illinois, and Indiana aren't going to generate a high level of interest. I know they don't for me, while in most cases i'd be amped to see UW play Michigan, MSU, Iowa, or Nebraska. I know we'll play those teams on a rotating basis over the years, but i just wish we were playing all four pretty much every year.
