The hardest thing for UW might be staying focused. When they put up the rest of the schedule it suddenly looked kind of light. Ohio State will presumably be a lot better with their guys back. And Michigan State has the potential if UW lays an egg. At this moment I think Michigan if they met in the championship game might have the best shot in a shoot out.

I can't see Ohio St scoring more than 10 points, if that, against Wisconsin.  I think Wisconsin's toughest game left is at Michigan St.  If they win that they should be undefeated heading into the conference championship game.

This team is nutty.

Take everything you remember fondly of typical 1990s/2000s badger football and parachute in an all-american QB.

There was a moment last night toward the end of the game when I consciously reminded myself that Nebraska was ranked in the top ten (and for a reason, for sure).  That's how silly they made them look.  It isn't supposed to be like that.

I don't think UW would have lost, but it would have been interesting to see how they would have fared against Nebraska if Pellini had stuck with the running attack. I thought he abandoned it way too early. I'm guessing the score would have been closer to the pre game spread certainly not a 31 pointer.

How are people feeling about the MSU game? All along I've been pretty confident, but the last couple days I've been a little nervous.

I think UW wins but it won't be a blowout.

Yup, confident all along, but now I'm getting anxious. I also don't think it will be a blowout, but with the big play ability of this team, it could become one so quickly. The Nebraska game felt like it was close, then suddenly it was a blowout in about 5 minutes.

Will you have this left guard to be the 224th pick?

In know this is an old post, but I really don't agree with this.  They were forced to throw due to poor down and distance situations from penalties and bad runs on 1st down.

I don't want to start a game thread, but I'm tired of the Badgers trying to run outside against fast teams.

and just another disappointing game.

Your 2011 Wisconsin Badgers . . . . now have 2 losses due to some very poor play. I hope these home-game centric schedules in the non-conference season ends soon. It does nothing for us.

How about that stupid punt formation? Give them a shot at the punter every time.

They just can't win a big road game to save their life.

He's certainly earned more leash than that (imo).  It's looking like the defense isn't up to par with the national title contenders, but we're one season away from a Rose Bowl appearance, & there's still a lot of talent coming back.

I'm still stunned that the refs overturned the hail mary call against MSU.  Not that they ruled it a TD, but that they felt the evidence was conclusive one way or the other.  Am I crazy to think that call would've gone the other way more than 50% of the time?

Fixed.

Didn't know that Slocum was coaching the Badgers special teams too.  I thought that punt formation was supposed to have almost zero chance of blocking the punt, with the exception of an amazing leap a la David Gilbert.  And what was that I said before the season about concerns about the secondary?

Believe it or not, the Badgers still have a shot at making the Big 10 Championship game.  Penn State's remaining three games are vs. Nebraska, @ Ohio State, and @ Wisconsin - very possible they lose two of those.  Ohio State has @ Purdue, vs. Penn State, @ Michigan, so it is possible they could lose one of those three.  If Penn State loses to Wisconsin and either Nebraska or Ohio State, and Ohio State loses one more game and UW wins out the Badgers win the Leaders division.

I pity Purdue next week, because I think the Badgers are going to come out very, very angry.  Purdue is tied for 75th in the nation in rush defense.  Could get ugly.

He can recruit but he better start winning the big games.  It's the same thing every year.  I'm getting tired of it. On top of that, watching Nebraska dominate MI St makes me even more mad that we lost that game.

Nick Toon will probably go off for 150 and a couple scores next week too.  He has never scored a touchdown in a true away game.  Seriously.  Dude is soft.  Abbrederis is a football player.
