Hoping for a LB tonight (or a trade down)!

Gordon to the Chargers at #15, sounds good, I can root for him there. Glad he did not go someplace like Dallas.

Yeah, nice to have Melvin go to a place where I have to root against him, like with Russell Wilson.

Tons of LB still on the board.... a trade down makes a lot of sense.

If it was just off the field stuff that'd be one thing, but the dude lost like 20 pounds since the end of the season. That's got to be a huge red flag.

Yeah, I'm not sure what his deal is. To go from top 7-10 to out of the 1st round is crazy.

Per NFL Network, the pick is already in....which probably means no trade.

“It’s become a pass-first league and he’s by far the best cover safety in college football,” Mayock said of Randall. “He’s gone from a third- or fourth-round Senior Bowl oddity to, I think, a first-round draft pick. I had to get over that a little bit because he’s not as good a tackler or as physical as, say, London Collins of Alabama. But I think he fits the NFL more.”

With the amount of defensive talent still on the board, it seems a little out of character not to trade out and pick up another 2nd round pick. Maybe teams weren't really wanting to move up.

Silverstein expects Randall to be worked at corner, for the record.

Not great news if you're Morgan Burnett. I have to admit, I wasn't looking at the safety position (for the first time in...well...at least a decade) in the 1st round. Sounds like ASU played him at both CB and S, so this could be a guy who makes an immediate contribution as a nickelback, and works his way into the starting lineup.

Speed and coverage certainly welcome on this defense.

...and the 1st of the 4 MLBs come off the board. Curious if the Packers are going to move up to get one of the guys I listed a few posts ago; not sure they're going to be there at #62.

Yep, multiple reports that Packers are going to play him at corner.

If Randall is able to play cornerback, then that makes the pick more understandable. There's need for a cornerback given the current state of the roster.

Yeah, he'll certainly get a look as the 5th DB.

Somewhat concerned about the reports on his tackling. Have to assume they think they can work with him on that aspect.

TT confirms they'll line him up at corner, but it'll be flexible in Dom's system.

Got a couple of calls on the pick, but offers were slanted in the other teams' favor.

Another TT curveball. Randall looks the part in what little I've seen. Interesting to see how this fits. I think there'll be DL/ILB to pick from at 62 anyways.
