Khalil Mack is dropping to the 5-6 area and Mike Evans is shooting into the top 5 in a lot of places. I love draft-day hysteria! Oh, and Johnny Football is projected to be picked somewhere between number 1 and 300.

It's tough to look at grades once you get out of the top few players, because at that point, it's less about natural ability and more about fit. If we had all speedy ILBs, Shazier wouldn't make sense because he wouldn't add anything. As we sit with multiple plodding ILBs, a guy like Shazier could add a different dimension to the defense.

I think another more appropriate grading scale for 1st rounders would be to base it on the distance between the player drafted and the incumbent player at the position, sort of like a WAR type statistic. Bortles might be rated higher than Clinton-Dix, but the difference between Clinton-Dix and Sean Richardson compared to the difference between Bortles and Rodgers...obviously Ha-Ha would have a higher grade on the Packers scale.
