RB situation

Packers - Two top RBs are injured. We cut a RB we traded for after two games so we don't give up a 7th round pick. So we have an UDFA RB left on the roster.

CJ Spiller is out as a FA. And yet, we don't even attempt to sign him????????

I'm really getting fed up with TT's approach to roster filling. Good grief he is wasting some good years of AROD. You simply can't have these repeated holes year after year. There is always some position of weakness that torpedos our chances to be very good.

Technically it's their top three RBs - Crockett was put on IR during the pre-season. Any team would be struggling if their top three RBs were out. If Spiller had a lot left he wouldn't be a FA; there's some reason why he's still out there.

Fortunately next year is a pretty good RB class. I like the Tennessee duo of Jalen Hurd (probably moves to TE at 6'4" 240, but could move him all over a la Montgomery) and Alvin Kamara as 2nd and 3rd round picks. Teaser - my "if he's still available" or "don't be surprised" first round pick will be Dalvin Cook. I wouldn't be surprised if they draft two RBs.
