TMZ is reporting he was found shot in his home this morning. http://www.tmz.com/2012/05/02/junior-seau-dead/

My buddy just texted me this and I still can't believe it.

Edit: Apparently TMZ is now claiming it was a suicide.

Rome is sharing the TMZ updates and also some confirmation from other SoCal sources. Hope he didn't and most definitely not going to judge because we don't know what he was dealing with. Sad no matter what the reasons.

Rome also just shared a quote from the Chargers chaplain that he's on the way to be with family. So, it seems that yes, Seau is dead. I was hoping it wasn't the case.

Seau was always one of my favorite non-Packers. Just had a lot of respect for the guy. Liked how he played. Hated playing against him.

I wonder if they will allow his brain to be examined to see if brain trauma had anything to do with this. It seems almost certain that it did, IMO.

I have to admit I'm also very interested to see if this is somehow related to brain trauma.

I can almost guarantee it. He shot himself in the chest just like Dave Duerson did.
